Introduction
Bukowski in Pictures is a 154-page large format photographic companion volume to Howard
Sounes' biography of the American author Charles Bukowski (1920-94).
The book includes a wealth of rare photographs of Bukowski,
and the people in his life, both in colour and black and white. Places
where
he lived and worked are also depicted; together with extracts from letters,
manuscripts and personal documents. All are linked by a biographical
text by Howard Sounes.
Bukowski in Pictures was first published in 2000 in the
United Kingdom by Rebel Inc. (an imprint of Canongate Books), and
distributed
